How are you guys getting the PS3 to decode The Golden Compass? I only get regular DTS. I can't even select the option for DTS 7.1 in the discs menu.

Dude, I watched it last night (sounded great) and it said DTS-MA 7.1. All 8+ Mbps!

Also, I have Shoot 'em Up, it says PCM 7.1. Why would the PS3 have an issue decoding that? Someone mentioned DTS, but those two things would seem to be unrelated to me.

Yeah I found the problem, I thought I had selected LPCM in the PS3 menu, but I guess not.

well i dont have a HD receiver, but again it is a surround sound system! but The Last Waltz and Spider Man 3 sound great! it was like you could hear the rain all around me when he lost the black suit, and the bell tone was excellent!
