Rambo is great, I think the first Rambo is the best and 2/3 were kinda horrible, really ruin the Rambo franchise. But this last one really brings it back to the first I thought.... wooh, He is one badass, RAMBO!!!!

I don't see how it does that at all. The fourth is exactly like the second and third, mindless slaughter. It may be awesome, awesome, AWESOME, mindless slaughter, but it still doesn't have the the heart of the first.

And how can the second and third ruin the franchise, they are the franchise. Otherwise is would've just been the one movie, no franchise.

I have to agree this was a great action movie! That action scene towards the end had to be one of the best i've seen

Picture quality was no where near perfect or the best i've seen on blu-ray. I'd give it a 3.5/5 for PQ also...Some scenes looked very sharp and clear. The color did have a washed out look to it and i'm sure it was filmed that way purposely. The sound was very loud and clear and that was just using my tv speakers I can't wait to get surround sound to watch this movie all over again...totally different experience, i'm sure! This is a MUST BUY on blu-ray!

It's coming on Monday for me, I mainly ordered it for the MoLog feature. It sounds too cool to pass up, that and the movie does look good too.

I just picked up all four Rambo movies and watched them all. I loved the first and forth movies 2 was good and 3 was OK. The PQ for the old movies were good for old movies, 4 had the best PQ out of the bunch 4.5 I would say. I just wated somthing to eat (out of the first movie). I watched it on my projector 145" wide 1080I it looked very cool just like being at the show.

That could be. The screen caps were photographed from a 106" screen. The smaller the display, the clearer and sharper the image should be. However, for comparitive purposes screen size is irrelevant. My comments were relative to over 100 high definition movies that I have seen using the same equipment and sceen size. The only variable is the movie. Based upon that, Rambo falls in the middle in terms of picture quality.

Let's take a couple of outdoor scenes from a couple of various movies that I have recently watched to compare. Again, all movies were photographed using the same equipment and under the same conditions. The only variable was the movie itself.

Image 1: Rambo

Image 2: Signs

Image 3: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe

Image 4: Twister

If I were judging picture quality, I would put The Chronicles of Narnia as the best (5 out of 5) followed by Signs (4 out of 5). Rambo and Twister would be next -- probably about tied (3.5 out of 5). Out of the 100 or so movies that I have watched, Rambo is in the middle third in picture quality. Although it was a good action flick, I can't agree with putting it in an upper tier for picture quality. My experience is telling me differently.
