Hello, i just recently watched Rambo on blu ray and i thought it was the best blu ray buy i purchased yet! The PQ is almost perfect i give it a 9/10 only some scenes were grainy and they were a few night scenes. The audio is fantastic! The 7.1 DTS HD Master Audio sounds so clear, you feel like your actually in the movie! The movie was great fun 10/10! Just tohught i'd share this with everyone. Great buy, definately recomend this for any blu ray buyers!

Even I could've told you that. The quality is common sense but all the carnage and attitude brings out what makes this movie great.

I was definitely satisfied by this movie in the theaters. I can only imagine how sweet it must be on BD.

The PQ of Rambo (most recent) was subpar at best.. 3.4/5, screen seemed washed and lacked depth.. not even close to the best blu I have.

It seemed like when I watched it, the rear surrounds were as engaged as the other channels. But as far as the whole disc, I think aside from their first few put out, Lionsgate is packing their discs full of great stuff. Especially since they, with NL, are doing 7.1. This was a pretty good movie too.

I agree with you 100% I watched Rambo on Blu 2 times in a row last Sunday, once just the feature and the second time with the picture in picture commentary and extras. This is one SOLID Blu-ray disc.

Wow, I now have no money left for Kung Fu Panda this weekend.

Not to hi-jack this thread but I figure I should ask it here instead of making a new one.

What is up with the MOLOG feature on the disc? (its in the special features section) I click it, and it says downloading...0% and nothing downloads! WTF is it anyway? And my PS3 is always connected to the internet so it's nothing on my end. Does anybody know what it is or what it does? And why nothing every downloads past 0%?

okay nevermind I got it working. Apparently it is some form of an online community, in which u can view the movie featured on the disc (in this case Rambo) but with other users commentries on it (in text form and other graphics popping on the screen) pretty cool, but who'd bother* with all that lol?

*apparently some people have done so already!

Agreed and highly recommended ,this movie including PQ and SQ are gorgeous.

I'm buying it when the price is right.

The quality? Well let's just say we have all bought many that are not as good as this. The content if you haven't seen it?? It was a pleasant surprise and I recommend it!

Rambo was okay. I'm certainly not as enthusiastic as many here on either the story or the picture quality. The movie itself ranks about a 3 out of 5 in terms of story, characterization and acting. I enjoyed it, but it was no masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination. I think First Blood, is the best of the series by far.

As for the picture quality, Rambo is solid but nothing extraordinary. It is shot in a very dark, hazy, gloomy environment -- which is the way it should be. However, that environment doesn't lend itself to amazing photography. Dark scenes are grainy. Brighter scenes are washed-out, subdued, and soft -- which was the director's intent. Very few scenes are detailed and sharp.

Below are some screenshots taken on a 106" screen with an LCD projector. I took about 30 screenshots and chose the best 10 to post, so these reflect the "best" picture quality in the movie. Generally, the quality is a somewhat worse than these screenshots depict.

I'm not saying the picture quality was poor, I'm just saying that the style doesn't lend itself to great PQ. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 -- somewhat average.

The audio quality was a bit better than the PQ. It is especially good when some of the larger weaponry is used. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5.
