Not at all. I have explained Amazon Prime. However, she thinks I get free two day shipping becuase i spend thousdans of dollars shopping there. I tried to explain how I share the Primr membership with other people form this forum, and THAT really goes over her head.

Although I often buy movies I would like, my wife and I share in all our finances so she usually knows when i buy a movie. Also, we have similar tastes in movies so usually if I like it, she likes it. But yes, I also get titles she would like more than me.
Amazon Prime is great and all, but despite all the lowering prices, she insists that we save more money, so I have been buying fewer movies lately.

I buy what I want. Wy wife and I have mostly the same tastes so she likes what I like, for the most part anyway. Once more romantic comedies come to Blu-Ray then I'm sure i'll be purchasing some mainly for her to enjoy. As every married person knows.....if the wife ain't happy, nobody's happy!

That's how my setup is, but with no kids. My nephews and niece are always at my house, so my wife picks up alot of kids DVDs for them. Im the only one that is really into buying blu's. But she does limit me to one a month. So that kind of sucks. But even at that I wait til I catch a good sale, either that or it is a new realease that I just cant wait to have. Which I can think of a few ones that will be coming out this year that I will be getting immediately (Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk) for instance.

Default partners opinion on movies

This is coming from the wife,I'm the home theater fanatic @my house,my husband is a firefighter, and has no interest whatsoever in picking out the movies or the gear, but loves the movies, my gear and my home theater room, kind of nice not having to justify what i buy, because he gets to look cool in front of the guys when he says "WE have",my thought, whatever as long as i can spend lol

Mine tried to limit me to one a week, and I hardly ever stick to that...

My wife has no say in what I buy, and I have no say in what she buys. We buy movies we like.

I don't have any wives or girlfriend so I can buy what ever I want, but my Dad is shocked to see how much films I buy. But I don't care.

I buy anything I want so she can buy whatever she wants. Only 33% of flicks I like she'll even watch.

Maybe it says something about the point in our life we're at that logic like that makes perfect sense. Whatever it says... I agree wholeheartedly. If my girlfriend ever said anything me buying too many BDs, I doubt she'd be my girlfriend much longer.

We both thoroughly enjoy the stuff like Galapagos, etc., as well.
Congratulations , doby! Nervous as hell, yet?

And, yeah, a girlfriend who buys you Blu-rays for your birthday is definitely worth keeping. One who actually enjoys watching them with you is worth proposing to.

Movie-wise I'm a much larger fan that my wife is, so I make most of the purchases without her involvement (and I naturally keep my spending reasonable, we have an infant and feeding her is obviously top financial priority). I do try to get movies I think she'll enjoy for those rare times when she wants to curl up and watch a movie together.

She plays a larger roll in hardware purchases; not so much as a foil (WAF isn't a problem in our household) but because she has a professional music background, she is usually very supportive of upgrades to that part of our home theater. And she really has a golden ear, so I'm glad to have the help. TVs are a different matter, she tolerates the upgrades as long as they don't come to frequently, but she doesn't really care.
