Well, the most recent Planet of the Apes with Mark Wahlberg has been on blu-ray for awhile. You must be searching for the Charlton Heston version. For the original, you just have to look it up in the movie category of this website.

I just looked it up and there's no sign of the old classic Planet of the Apes coming out for blu

The Digital Bits mentioned in their Rumor Mill section several months ago that the entire series may be coming to BD later this year. There’s been nothing officially announced to date. But they did get The Godfather Trilogy, Back to the Future Trilogy and Band of Brothers correct, so there’s hope.

Yes its probably coming November with a printed collectors book as well (for the set of 5 films). Most likely the first film will be available separately.

I don't believe there's a date yet since they're still working on it, but some have seen a presentation of the first movie that was remastered for BD. And at that showing it was confirmed they were working on the BD release.

I will jump all over a BD of the '68 movie. Maybe the second one, "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" as well. No interest in the rest of the sequels though, so a boxed set is out of the question.

Gonna be honest and say that I was going to stick with the DVDs. But after reading the article, and seeing all that they intend to do...let's just say that this automatically became a 'must-buy'.

I want this so bad, but I can see it being pretty pricey. Also, I may be alone on this, but I would prefer all 5 to be packaged like Blade Runner.
