Default Original Planet of the Apes on Blu-Ray?

I have been hearing some rumors about the original POTA coming to Blu-Ray. Can anyone confirm? It is oneof my all time favorites and would love to see it on blu-ray. Other sci fi classics that I would love to see on blu-ray would be:
[LIST][*]the exorcist[*]the abyss[*]raiders of the lost ark trilogy[*]the day the earth stood still[LIST]

That would be awesome! I have never owned POTA on any format so I would HAVE TO buy it.

The sequels (except maybe for BeneathPOTA) and the re-make all suck real hard but the original is a classic.

I would LOVE to replace my non-anamorphic DVD with a Blu-ray release...

Here's hoping sooner than later...

I love the Apes movies and I"m sure they'd look teriffic on BD. This is the one thing that could make me regret buying the Ape head DVD set. So as cool as it would be, I hope it's a ways off.
