I would buy it but it wouldnt be a high priority. Its a great movie but not one with a lot replayabililty for me.

I didn't understand Contact the first time that I saw it, so I tried watching it again a few weeks later and I loved it the second time around! So I'll definitely get Contact on Blu-ray!

Terrific movie, I will buy it on the first day! This movie really make me think and is different than any other Sci-Fi movie I have ever encounter. I have the DVD but will be upgrading to Blu for sure.

No, definitely not. Hated that she was an atheist and then the only way she could describe what happens at the end was in terms of how someone would describe their faith and belief in God. Jodie Foster hasn't done much lately that really was worthy of buying.

Didn't buy it on VHS,laserdisc or DVD-I'm certainly not going to buy it on blu.

I watched this movie when it first came out on DVD. It was loaded with extras. Still, the movie was, IMHO, so boring that I didn't bother to check on the extras. That's not even the main point, I just wanted to mention that this was probably the first DVD released ever with that many special Features.

Aside from that the movie is boring and it's conclusion is disappointing. I will definitely not buy the BD.

This film is begging for a blu ray release. The old standard DVD is full of compression and artifacts. It was a grand release in 97 but the years have past and this one needs a better release on Bl-Ray hopefully with all the previous extras and more.
