does anybody know if the gangster 3 pack is in its own case or is it like buying all 3 movies by themselves?

They'll be in their respective stand-a-lone cases with a box around them. It's just like buying them individually but at a discount.

I'll be getting Eastern promises. I really thoroughly enjoyed that movie. I'm hopinh A History Of Violence sees a release soon.

May get Casino one day, will not bet getting America Gangster, seeing that once was enough for me.

I enjoyed American Gangster, I know a lot of people were ho-hum with the film. While not the greatest gangster movie it has some good things going for it.

Eastern is a very strange movie to say the least.

Now, when I say that, I must point out that I really like the movie.

But, I felt that for the story that was being drawn in the film, it should have been much longer and deeper. It seemed to tie up lose ends very quickly but at the same time make the characters out to be pretty deep.

Also, and thought that the acting was very strong all around. But one might have a problem with little to no Russian actors used...in a Russian themed mob drama. And Viggo, who I love as an actore, kind of mumbles the whole way through.

I just wish it had a little more meat to the story. It just seemed to be a little rushed and all the lose ends tied up very quickly. Except for the ending.

I liked it, and I recommend it. But it wouldn't be the first Cronenberg film what I would suggest (Shivers, The Fly) and it wouldn't be the first mobesque movie that I would recommend either. But it does have some very nice points to it that make it well worth the viewing, in my opinion.

Didn't like it, will be ignoring it, just as I did with the DVD.

Casino:

Amazing movie, will be buying it as soon as I get around to it.

Eastern Promises:

Decent, and will consider it, depending on the price I find it for.
