I think what he was trying to convey (not being condecending or bias) was, that they are all top notch units, and most likely would all do the same thing. That being said, if all is equal, go for sex appeal. Which do you mentally and visually prefer?

Personally:
I own an SVS Something something ultra, its big (as well as B&W 603 S3's among other things). I never turn it up, and probably never will need to, it is that strong for my needs. No regrets It holds a huge bottle of water next to my treadmilll so it REALLY has a dual function LOL.

If you're going with Martin Logan I'd go with the Depth or Descent.

However for the same amount of money you can get much more realism, depth, accuracy and frequency response with the Epik Conquest, eD A7-900, AV123 MFW-15 duals or SVS PB-13 Ultra.

No risk of upgradeitis there at all. Worth every penny.

Ah - phew, I was caught off guard by those remarks, mdm, thanks Mac for clearing that up.

In any case - hmm, well, first things first, Doby - $600 is the more/less price range - A7-900? Guests will ask me why there is a small vehicle inside my living room! (I mean, for those who don't know, look at this: A7-900 is the box in the center of pic

But, mentally and visually, I'm almost set on the Logan as it is. But like I said earlier, it never hurts to listen to other opinions. I love the SVS' unconventional design - quite the conversation starter when people imagine it to be some sort of air purifier or whatnot! The eDs enormous size make them unwieldy in my space for the time being - I think partly that's why I prefer the Dynamo, the compact size and the power it has as well - it's been demo'd to me multiple times in varying room sizes this summer and it performs quite admirably! And as far as sex appeal goes, Madison Avenue and all that - well, I'd pick Martin Logan then,

Thanks chaps. Thread closed.
