It's BD Live that's causing the issue. I got the movie to finally play and tried to connect to BD Live after the flick. It said there was no internet connection so I hit try again and Bam! "LOADING" screen that took forever at the beginning pops up with the same outcome. Still wouldn't recognize the connection.

I guess I live a charmed life. All technology seems to work for me pretty well even windows at work.

It loaded up for me in less than a minute on my launch PS3.

That's what I think. Mine was loading normally (pretty quickly) but BD-Live functionality wasn't working. I had BD-Live set to "allow". I tried changing it to "confirm" answered the question telling it to allow access and Transformers took a long time to load but BD-Live worked just fine. When I selected BD-Live from the menu, the BD-Live stuff appeared really quickly also and normally there is a long wait for the BD-Live stuff to load. Makes me wonder if they're loading it at the beginning or something (if that's even possible). Edit: Also, when I told it to retry, it restarted the whole thing (just like I had just launched the disc really making me think they're loading it at the beginning).

Edit: Hmm, only had to do that the first time. It's now working just fine with the PS3 to set allow. Also, Transformers loaded quickly, the BD-Live stuff loaded quickly, etc.

How many times did you try it? Did you stop it and hit play again? It took forever the first time so i hit stop and play and then it came up fine. I don't believe it's a disc problem, i think it's a BD live problem. I tried it on a sylvania player and it played fine on that.

I have a 60gb PS3 and mine took almost 2 minutes. I was nearly panicking as I've never had another movie take more than 30 seconds. But it started and played fine

Can you guys with Sony HT-ss2000 please check it out and help your blu fellow

Hey I got a problem here. I am watching TF and suddenly my tv went black for few seconds at 01:38:27. I am watching on a 60 gb PS3 and Sony HT-SS2000. I do not think it is disc problem, My HT reset at 1:38:27 with no sound or picture. I see my HT receiver reset several times at that exact hour and minute (1:38:27) I do not know why? My HT had never done this before with other discs, its brand new, I just bought it recently. Does anyone have the same problem or have a possible solution for me?

This was posted in TF master thread earlier and no one helped

Well considering that is one of the most popular titles, and everyone was getting it in theiir players at around the same time 10.000's euals dozens per minute on the servers (however big or small they are) It wouldn't surprise me that it took some longer than others to get it loaded.
I totally revcall the Transformers HD-DUD cersion was the one movie that caused me grief when loading in the beginning too. So I think if you have auto accept for BD Live option in the PS3, then there may have been a download for the dashboard of features ? Shoot me down, but it souldn't surprise me and y'all shoulsdnt be too concerned in the least.

I noticed it put a 638kb or so file under the BD data utility part of the ps3. I haven't downloaded anything from BD-live so it's probably a system file. BD-Live is set to allow on my ps3 settings. All features are working fine for me, and the disc is loading in less then 20secs now.

I dunno about yall, but mine only showed the loading screen for 4 seconds then played the DreamWorks logo opening, then to the menu.

And yes, it is connected to the internet.

So I say older players with slower speed drives could be the problem.

Thumbs down

I had the same problem using the PS3. It took at least 5 minutes on the loading page. So I stopped it and tried again and it took like 1 minute to play.

Here's a little "insider" knowledge. The PS3 is the one having the problem. What's happening is, when you first load the disc it's verifying that it's BD-J then BDLive tries to auto-connect. What will work for all the PS3's having problems is.... disconnect your ethernet cable from your PS3 or goto your network settings and turn off your internet connection. Then launch the disc. It will load in about 8 seconds. If you have an internet connection 'on' it will take A LOT Longer.

Also verified to speed it up and get BDLive (wired connection ONLY) is...

Pull the ethernet cable out of your PS3. launch the disc. when you at the main menu, plug the ethernet cable back in then connect to BDLive in the special features page.

Of course not all PS3s are having this problem. But the one's that do, this is a verified quick fix on over 24 machines.

I've got the same player, and it took maybe 1.5 minutes to load, which isn't bad at all for BD-J discs on this player. (Ratatouille still holds the record, at about 3-4 minutes.)

the first time I loaded Transformers in the PS3 it took what seemed like forever to load, so I pressed stop, the PS3 froze and I had to eject the disc and flip the rear power switch to shut it down. I restarted the PS3 inserted the disc, and the loading screen only appeared briefly, then the disc started. I don't know, kind of weird.
