shipping to best buy????

yeah right!!! They don't even keep the higher end TVs that they have on the website in the store. They're not gonna leave something that expensive in the hands some monster cable pusher.

In my opinion I think the video industry is really messing itself up here- they have a HUGE problem with deciding on a format and sticking with it. From 480i to 480P, 720, 1080 and now where? It is going to be a huge turnoff to consumers all around the globe, and a shot in the foot to videophiles and most companies.

This is the exact reason I have so much more respect for the audio industry, they know their place. It's not that they WANTED to land with MP3/MP4 and portable media (see: SACD) but that is the way the general populous has turned and the industry respects that (see: itunes). And, look at the CD! 16b 44.1k for how long now? Come on! Don't think they haven't made better! They just know upgrading every 4 months isn't worth it to consumers!

Anyway, this is just my opinion and i'm sure your opinions vary- but I feel like every day I come onto this site and read about a new type of technology that is going to out preform blu-ray. We need to be happy the news conglomerates aren't getting ahold of this and scaring away potential blu-ray-to-bes.

Spending that much money won't make me enjoy the movie any more than I Am now with Blu ray. Its obvious that in most cases its the source material thats the weakest link, not the player/firmware/codec etc.

Of course, with such a reasonable price tag, where can I order hmm let's say 3 ?
One for my kitchen, another for my den/sleeping place and one for my bathroom ? Dude such a reasonable price tag will have this baby in 90% of all homes in the world in less than 3 months, no doubt. Bluray is dead !
