Whatever idiot Told you your windows office would work prolly shoulda mentioned you need to install windows for you to be able to use it. So you have a right to pimp-slap him

mlb.tv - did you try it through firefox? Mine works fine through it.

Printer Software...no need for it, all the functions are built into the os, the drivers software is useless o a mac, ya just plug it in and add the printer...voila!

I'm guessing it will be the one piece"brick" construction. mmmmmm pancakes...

A lot of Windows programs don't work on Windows either! :-) Control, Alt, Delete! Actually on a serious note, i haven't had a problem running Windows programs on our Macs, using VMware Fusion, I hear it's better than Parallels.

I just bought a mac a couple weeks and still have my dell laptop with a blu ray drive (which i haven't watch a movie on it in months since I purchased a BD player for my bedroom) and I actually get quite upset when I have to use a windows based computer. I wish I would've originally purchased a mac a year and half ago when i got my dell.

What in the hell are you talking about? It's extremely easy, and the macbook pro was rated the #1 laptop for Vista.

Hmmmm.... weird.

I run XP and Vista on my MacBook Pro and on my Mac Pro under both VMWare Fusion and BootCamp, and I have yet to find a windows program that will not run perfectly well on either; including some very proprietary medical imaging stuff for my work through VPN's and such.

As the meme goes, I think you're doing it wrong.

10:56AM "Blu-ray?"

Steve: "Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt. It's great to watch the movies, but the licensing of the tech is so complex, we're waiting till things settle down and Blu-ray takes off in the marketplace."

Hmm, no blu-ray on the new macs. What a waste. All that beauty with outdated technology still. They blame it on licensing? I find that very hard to believe. I think it's a hardware/software issue.

i agree that they are way ugly. and what jobs means by waiting for blu-ray to settle down...he means waiting for his stupid video store to utterly fail, and continue to give crap quality 720p that nobody wants to pay for or wait to download (and just to rent). hd tv shows don't matter. jobs is a LIAR.

They're can't release Blu-Ray drives because it'll canabalize their Video downloads.

I am really starting to dispise Apple. They tell you what you're supposed to like and what you're not supposed to like. And all the lemmings follow - like lemmings!

Well, you would want to protect your investment too right? While that I agree with, I really don't see a reason not to include blu-ray. Everyone else is. I guess the math is off because if your system has blu-ray in it - more people would buy.

100,000 people buying - $2,400.00 macbooks > 100,000 people paying 6.99 for a movie or whatever.

Those that want blu will have it either way. They are just stiffing themselves. I used to be an Apple hater but the last year or so I have changed my views. Since owning my iPhone (yeah I know its not a macbook) I think apple is a great company with lots of innovation up it's sleeve. They did bring us the ipod which revolutionized music. They give us our digital copies which is also very nice.

I wouldn't be too hard on apple for no blu drives yet. If you want one, get a pc. You do have a choice
