The new Sammy LED DLP's are among the best sets on the market today. OP...don't listen to people who don't know what they are talking about. If you want the CORRECT information...you should never ask your questions here. Head on over to avsforum for more accurate information.

Hey, I was just trying to help based on my personal experience with the Samsung LED DLP (HLT5089).

As for you're "you should never ask your questions here" statement, you couldn't be more wrong. While I am not an expert, there are some very knowledgeable ones here (HDTV1080P for one) that have helped me out many times.

Your personal experience involves the LED DLP from last year...not this year. It is that type of misleading information I am hoping the OP will avoid by not asking these questions here when more qualified posters spend their time over at AVS.

I had planned on buying the Sony XBR5, but found that I just could not stand the motion blur apparent in ALL LCD's. I then moved on to the Pioneer Kuro (6020), but I could not justify the price. I finally settled on the new Sammy LED DLP. The fact that I was considering a Kuro and I am more than happy with this instead...says a lot about just how well this set performs.

Nice. With that statement, you've just called into question the knowledge of every single person on this site. You might want to edit your original post and rephrase, bacause I know you couldn't possibly be calling everyone around here ignorant. Not a good way to make friends.

Of course, that's just my opinion. What do I know?

This dude has an obvious agenda and should be ignored.

The XBR's are awesome, the new Sammys (650/750/950) are great too.

I prefer plasma so its Panny 85u/800u all the way.

Kuros are awesome, but I dont think the improvement justifies the price.

DLP has great color and blacks but has plenty of cons too. If you want a 60"+ tv, then just grab a dlp, if you want a great 50" 1080p tv then grab a Panny plasma.

I thought he was staying on the ignore list! I find it easier just to report the posts...

It's easier for you to report posts rather than accept another opinion? I see...that explains a lot.

You have been making incorrect statements, not supporting your posts with any links to anything fact or fiction, making generalizations that all LCDs have problems, etc.

Imagine if you came on here saying all plasmas have burn in and all DLPs have rainbow. How long do you think you would last? I am surprised they have let it go on as long as it has.

Where to start...

All plasmas do not suffer from burn-in when used properly. FACT

All DLP's do not suffer from a rainbow effect. FACT

All LCD's do suffer from motion blur. It's just a matter of how much. FACT

#3 is wrong Einstein.

Once again for the slow kid, the 950 does NOT have motion blur.

According to one test and only one test by one and only one person. (from a reliable person of course) Regardless, we are talking about one and only LCD as well. I'll edit my list and it should make you very happy:

All plasmas do not suffer from burn-in when used properly. FACT

All DLP's do not suffer from a rainbow effect. FACT

All LCD's do suffer from motion blur...with the exception of one and only one model. It's just a matter of how much. FACT

Well you are surely entitled to buy that TV. It's not one of the best sets on the market, but if you are satisfied with that picture quality - then that's your thing. I'll keep my plasma - and never look back.

As far as your comment about not getting the correct information here....well wow. Why are you even here? You surely have my permission to excuse yourself.

We have some amazing people here. And I seriously doubt that the experts, insiders and other well-versed people appreciate your ignorant comment.

In the space of three weeks you have become one of the most tedious reads on this board. FACT

We all get that it's plasma or death for FilmMaster. For the love of God, calm down. We get it.

I am perfectly calm. I have every right to defend myself and my opinions. I didn't ask for your approval nor will I.
