As long as the case is in great condition I would say so... You're lucky to get these for under $60, so $50 is a good price... Heck they were $41 delivered when they first started selling them on Amazon.UK...

You almost gave me an heart attack! I bought it yesterday, it says sealed:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=170299360625

Next time, when it doesn't state the condition you should always ask if is sealed or not! A lot of amazon, ebayer sell "brand new" and what you receive is a used, not sealed... and then if you claim they will answer that this is not factory sealed.. all same story.

PS: I'm going to PM you

Oh boy, seems that you have got a better deal than me. GBP 30 for a Brand new and SEALED copy.

by the way, what region is my purchase? Is it region A/free?

I bought it for my love of the steel though, so watching is 2nd priority.

When I received the item today, I expected it to be sealed, as thats my perception of brand new. Apparantly, it wasn't sealed. So I emailed him to inform him.

He replied that he bought from the UK Manufacturer brand new but it was not sealed initially, and that it is normal for brand new items not to be sealed in UK.

I will just like to verify if this is true in UK???

Anyway the item is in perfect condition, so I do not intend to make a fuss over it.

By the way, the buy-it-now price is GBP29.99 + GBP3.99 (Shipping to Singapore). Did I just get myself a good deal? Many many other ppl are selling it so much more expensive in ebay
you got shammed, I would definitely complain as its not new and every sweeney todd I got from the UK including the ones I have now are new and sealed. They deserve no less than a neutral for not disclosing it wasnt sealed

If you were going to watch it anyway and its in good condition I think its a fuss over nothing.

Don't buy a car on a rainy day, it will more than likely be wet.

Just my 2 cents but yesterday I was at Best Buy and looking at there dvds I did notice a steelbook movie. I think it was a horror movie but it could have been sci fi, anyway it wasn't sealed with celaphane. It did have the factory tape on the top and side proving that the dvd was never opened.

I remember thinking someone pulled a fast one on BB and opened, watched it and returned it, but then I saw 2 more copies of the same film exactly the same way. No celaphane wrapping, just the tape. Odd

Upon closer inspection of the steelbook, I found that there are quite a few scratches in the front and back of the steel.

I will just treat it as bad luck and move forward to avoid any unnecessary hassles

yea not a bad price, just note in the review that it wasnt NEW as advertised and leave it at that. If the steel is excellent, the disc is always replaceable

Didn't you get your Sweeney when they were on clearance from HMV or something?
