Exactly... let them have it if it makes them feel better about their format choice at least for one day. Ultimately, an extra 20 copies or so sold on a movie or two on one day isn't going to change the format war one iota.

Shouldn't the title of the thread reflect a "20 man march" then ?

I pity those HD-DuD fanboys, don't they realize they're supporting a dead format?? *LOL*

I'm in on purchasing a few more Blu-ray movies that day (April 15th).

Indeed. I couldn't tell if you thought I was serious or not. No problemo. Gotta love the internets. Glad your funny bone is working.

I think it's sad that they are all getting together to create a tiny sales spike on one particular day. It won't affect Blu-Ray one bit -- as the sales numbers for BD that day will still greatly outnumber HD-DUD.

I would compare them to the Spartans of 300 -- but that would be giving them too much credit.

ok so if theyre on the 15th, on the 16th, everyone on this site buy at least 3 blu-rays.. there isnt more than 2 hd-dud discs that people will want to get so we just 1up them. Sounds dumb but then theyd stop the "OH we're going to outsell soon enough" ranting

So April 15th will be the HD-DVD Fan-boys' Battle of the Bulge! Their last great battle before the war ends with them on the losing side.

April 15th seems to be horrible day to do a mass purchase. People are going to be more concerned about making it to the post office then hoping that 1 day out of the month their format spikes above the competing format.

Just yet more proof of how out of touch with reality some of those people are.

I'm not going to let one day dictate my spending..

I already have almost 10 movies and I haven't had my PS3 for 2 weeks yet...

I still have to get Usual Suspects, Casino Royale, Layer Cake and a few others in a week...

So they go out and buy on 15th.. Most people won't buy an 'Extra' disc just for this foolish march.. they will probably wait till 15th to buy a disc they were gonna buy anyway.. resulting in no spike in sales when viewed in weekly or monthly terms...
Wonder how many of them actually marched in for something more meaningful...
Like human rights issues and so on...
Just unbelievable..
