I highly doubt they will stop this fro being released. It would be seriously bad publicity for them. They will probably make a deal that would end in a settlement in a specified amount of money or profits.
I am sure this will be released, after all, they sat on their lazy asses not making this film, so someone had to! It is really their own faults for not doing anything with it.

I hope you're right, I really want to see it too.

Bottom line remains the same though, they did not own the rights to make the movie. We all just have to wait for the trial to see how much compensation is demanded and what terms are set out.
