After maybe 15 years of constant upgrades I've learned that this is an ever-evolving process. Changing one thing seems to trigger a change in something else, usually because one thing I swapped out exposed a limitation or some dissatisfaction with something else, or simply because something in the setup has seen it's day. Just 6 months ago I said I'd probably never swap my 7-year-old Pinnacle Aerogels out anytime soon, but now early next year I'm contemplating going with Martin Logan electrostats all the way around (not sure which model yet). I'm still also awaiting a prepro from Emotiva with the latest HD codecs, when just 9 mos ago I thought my decision on a Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver was final. After that, who knows, a projector maybe? I don't think it'll ever end......

I'm looking at projectors. Plan on watching the Super Bowl on a 120" screen this year. Just waiting on a good sale. Other than that a larger room.

I'd probably change the 106in cinetension screen, move my LCD that the screen comes over and get a fixed 2.40:1 screen. Also bigger then 106"

The prepro (UMC-1) has been in the works for nearly a couple of years. A problem of late that delayed the development was with the new Cirrus Logic decoders that didn't ship when they were supposed to earlier this year. Apparently this impacted a number of other manufacturers also awaiting that chip. That time finally passed, and the word right now is a December release for the UMC-1. I'm on the preorder list and am buying one as soon as it hits the market.

Biggest thing for me was thinking too long a used Rotel amp my local dealer had. They were offering a full warranty since it was a demo, and would have worked quite well with the Era speakers I bought earlier this year.

Live and learn I guess.

They only wanted $500 for it, but I was too wrapped up in speakers and in wall wiring and screens, etc. to give it a second thought.

I'm looking at purchasing the Panasonic SC-BT100 Blu-Ray Home Theater in a Box. Yes, that's right I said Home Theater in a Box. This is 1250 watts with Blu-Ray Player and receiver in one unit with DTS HD master audio decoder, 5.1 channel surround with wireless rear channels that is upgradeable to 7.1. I have already checked this out at Circuit City and it rocks. Great sound and picture.

I would like to upgrade my speakers to PSB or Paradigm, oh almost forgot I want the 18" DLS Velodyne Sub. (I won't get it though it's at least $ 2,000 and I don't need a sub that big) a 12" would be nice though. Already got the receiver I want.

If money was no object I would get a 4 ohm home theater amp with Totem Wind speakers.

As soon as you get that, you'll be back here wanting to upgrade within one to two months, guaranteed. That is my prediction

I'd trade it all in....... Blu-ray player, all 15 speakers I purchased in 2008 (703s 705s HTM7 DS7s 686s Five M-1s and my sub ) every movie etc... and put it towards a down-payment on a pair of 802ds.....

Then maybe a year later I'd be able to power them

The only thing I would ever want to change is my center chanel.

God Bless 'em, my cousins all chipped in and bought me a Paradigm cc70 about ten years ago and while I will always be eternally greatful for the gift, it doesn't, has never and will never sonicly match my Mini Monitors.

The sound is thin and tiny. Clear...but...not quite right.

Currently remodeling my theater room. I'm sure it will be awesome but like many have already said there will always be room for improvement.

I would like to purchase another blu-ray player for the bedroom and possibly upgrade my center channel, but this must all wait due to the time and money going into the room right now.

Why do you say that???? Not every one has it in their budget to by each individual piece and since I know from experience Panasonic makes great products I have no reason to be cautious, do I? Because I really need a new surround system and my Sony system I bought last year is already crapping out, and yes I bought each piece individually. The only thing that has been reliable is the PS3. Plus all the reviews I've read on this system give it good ratings.

Time to move the HT to the basement from the main floor living room, mount the LCD to the wall, build the bar, and create a room (not a dedicated hometheatre roomyet) that is more comfortable for relaxing and enjoying my BD
