Once again the Simpsons disappoints. These Halloween episodes used to be classics year in year out but I think most old time fans of the Simpsons agree the writing has gone downhill. I thought the last story, the parody of Peanuts, was funny but the first two segments were boring and at times didn't even seem to be going for laughs.

I think it was the worst one yet. Usually there are 2 bad/average stories, with 1 great/good story which balance the episode out, but this year the episode just didn't work. I was so disappointed I whipped out season six and watched the one with the shining parody ("the shinning").

I lost interest after season 8. It went downhill for me after that.

Are you crazy??? in comparison to past seasons.... this one didnt come close... i mean, obviously it had its moments... but overall very disappointing
