I love prison break but i think this season broke it for me. I got through the first 5 or so eps and i just kind of quit watching. This season reminds me a lot of Oceans 12. Different ways each week to get the scylla cards, which is sad cause I had high hopes for season 4

Even that seemed to be pushing it. In the beginning this seemed like an interesting show, but seriously how has it lasted this long, it's just one more ridiculous idea than the last. They really should have ended this one long ago, while it was still slightly realistic. I wasn't aware this show still had viewers, lol.

I wonder if this means the spin-off is cancelled too. There was talk they were gonna do a Prison Break in a woman's prison.

I'd say that's def off....they were supposed to introduce the character last season for the spin off but due to the writer's strike they never got that far

You are aware that Lost's end has already been announced right? They're filming 2 more seasons and then it's all over. It won't end before the 2 seasons air, and it won't go beyond them either. It's written in stone.

Prison Break is one of those shows that needs a definitive ending too. If that's what they're doing here, then I'm all for it. Finish out season 4 and then follow it up with a 2 hour series finale to wrap it all up. Sounds perfect to me.

Prison Break was one of my favorite shows, LOST is my fav tho.. I enjoyed the first three seasons.. i just couldnt get into the fourth season, and havent watched another episode since the season premiere, it seem's like it should be over by now, they just keep thinking of way's to keep it goin, and it just doesnt interest me.., the fact that "Sarah" is back, i thought was stupid, maybe i would be interested still if Micheal was after the people who killed her,you know, sorta a good revenge story to keep Prison Break goin... but maybe they should do a SPIN-OFF for "Theodore Bagwell aka / T-Bag" -- id watch that lol

As bad as lost was last season I wish they would cancel it. That way they could write a real conclusion and get the focus back.

Sigh. This is what happens to shows, when they're on TV.
If only they were like movies and ended when there was no more money to be made.
Like the Star Wars saga, Friday the 13th or Godzilla
Crap. I think I may have contradicted myself.

They do have a plan. That's why they made the deal with ABC to end the show after 6 seasons. That was the whole point. Everything they did last season was leading to the ending which is already written. Go ahead and dislike it, that's your right. But no plan? Week to week writing? I have no idea what show you were watching.

And besides, I was confused by your whole "cancel it so it will have focus" line. That just doesn't make sense.

You know what? It doesn't matter. This thread is about Prison Break, not Lost. Did I mention that William Fichtner is the man?

Prison Break is still a good show, but they should've ended it after season 2.

While Prison Break has switched course from the original season 1 premise, the show has turned into an incredibly fun hour of television. Hell Stephen King even wrote an article a month or so ago defending the show. It is basically a hardcore version of Mission Impossible where most of the characters have 3 seasons worth of backstory which we know.

So this will be sad news if it does get cancelled. The silver lining will be that they might be able to wrap the series up with those last two eps.

I really liked the show when it first came out, but Fox put that 6 month break between parts of the first season for some reason, and I lost interest.

Now I cant get into it, because i dont understand how there could still be a show based on breaking out of prison, when they are not in prison. Seems like a one or two season show to start with.

'Prison' break may be on the way
Speculation surrounds two additional episodes

By Nellie Andreeva
The end could be near for "Prison Break."

The actors on the Fox drama have been notified by 20th TV that the filming schedule might be extended to accommodate production of two additional episodes.

"Prison" writers are yet to pitch ideas about the extra hours, but speculation is that they might serve as a conclusion to the four-year series.

If the two episodes are made, their fate is unclear as the network has not committed yet to air them, though conversations with the studio are under way.

Fox might run the bonus material as two additional episodes in the spring, though that is considered unlikely because "Prison" has struggled in the ratings this fall and the remaining six episodes of its original 22-show order weren't on the network's recently released midseason schedule.

A more plausible scenario has Fox airing the two episodes as a two-hour "event" next season, not unlike the "24" prequel this fall. Or the episodes might end up on the "Prison Break" DVD.

Because it's a continuous story. Just because they successfully escaped prison doesn't mean their story is over. They're simply fugitives at that point. They still have to ellude recapture, clear their names, seek revenge on those who framed them, try to regain some semblence of their former lives, etc, etc. Again, don't get hung up on the show's title. It has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not the show's content is entertaining. It's just a label, not a plot summary.
