The first two front missions were released on Snes.

This what I have been thinking and what better way is there for psn to stick it to live?Does anyone know what internal differences there are between the old 80gb and the new skus that would prevent emulation via firmware?

Think you quoted the wrong person I was talking about the original original front mission, it has a different storyline but very similar to the playstation front mission I guess these were the grandfathers of playstation front mission.

yeah i know original wasn't on PS, but i'll play anything Front Mission. but anyway, what about Xenosaga? English or Japanese?

What power PCs? PCSX2 can be emulated on dual and quad cores easily, it even looks better than the original game, granted it's not a final product, and many games are not playable yet, but if a whole bunch of nerds can get software emulation done on PCs, why can't Sony get it on PS3? Will it be difficult, yes, but it can be done, maybe not 100%, but it can be done.

You are right, not 100% such as the MGS4 and Motorstorm bundles. I think that they are just waiting until they have it perfect. Kind of like Home, lol.

got a link to a ps2 game being emulated at a decent framerate? i haven't heard of anyone getting it to run above 5fps

Not while at work, no, I remember an old thread on GAF and people posting impressions and pics of it, you can also google pcsx2 and if you have a decent PC and a game that's compatible with their list, you can download their emulator and try it out.

original 20 and 60 had both chips. in the 80 they took out the emotion engine which made it less backwards compatible. but with both gone, they'll need a difficult software solution

English or Japaneses I don't quite understand your meaning, I think the guy was talking about Xenogears which was a psone title made by squaresoft, and is unofficial part of the xenosaga series made by another company.
