oh. well that analogy doesn't work well, as the x-files: i want to believe wasn't that well received by the fans either. and it wasn't a bomb. not completely anyway. over here in the states it blew big chunks, but made its money back overseas. which is par for the course with the x-files movies. they tend to do better overseas.

you sure? i don't remember hearing any xfiles people saying they hated it. i didn't thats for sure.
