Exactly my thoughts. After the third, the sequels drop off exponenentially in enjoyment.

Netflix is jacked up, they list a lot of stuff that isn't on blu or might be announced. When you added it to your que it will be dvd then when you switch it to blu it goes to the saved que.

Great news. Anchor Bay has a great library of classic horror, hopefully they speed up releases.

I'm on pins and needles! I was hooked after the first one and you'd have to chain me to a post from running out on the first day of the release!

Freakiest movies I ever watched. First 2 were awesome and it does kind of tail off after 2, but 3 does have it's moments.

Not for the squeamish.

Not so great when the movie was first announced for a 12/30/2008 release. I really want the movie, but I will wait until I can actually buy it before going...

12/30/08 is for Hellbound, Hellraiser 2 on DVD and not BD.

Number 3 IS that bad--like, Canadian-made SciFi/USA-Network bad--due to New World Pictures going bankrupt shortly after #2 with only the barest outline of a "real" canon-plot, Barker not owning the movie franchise, and the title going up for grabs to whatever cheesy low-rent weasel had the cash to finish it. (ahemterminator4)

Number 1, though, was Barker's own written-directed baby, in kinky spirit as well as execution.

I am: Cash-in "anthology" title-purchases with no, repeat, NO relation to any previous movies bearing the title, and the required Doug Bradley cameo, to wander in and goth-poetry for little more than thirty seconds of message at the end, like some pierced Rod Serling...
(#5 particularly feeling like one of those self-recriminating "penance" scripts that screenwriters do to exorcise their personal demons after coming out of drug rehab.)

One of the reasons we're getting a rumored remake is that Clive is making sure to HANG ON to the franchise this time.

Considering the visual nature of this movie it might be a must-own. It all depends on the transfer quality.

Great news. I'm still going to hang on to the DVD tin I have, though. Had it signed by Doug Bradley at a convention a few years ago.
