I hate them.
Or maybe they should just be limited edition runs and then continue onto blu cases, then I would be ok with these.

Remind me of those hideous DVD covers NewLine & Warner used to have.

I like them. Very nice. I have 2, Poltergeist and Natural Born Killers. Plan to get Amadeus when it is released.

Warner needs to focus on their BD title efforts more first.

Second, and just as important, to let New Line be New Line (meaning the 7.1 DTS-MA tracks they were knocking out of the park).

Third, then focus on "special edition" packaging.

I like them but don't love them. Purely because of the shelf-wear they can easily get and then you'd be unable to replace them. Unless you bought it all over again. Luckily I'm ultra careful with my belongings so is a thumbs up for me (just)

No, I don't like them. It's a shame I couldn't buy Shawshank Redemption because WB insisted on releasing it as a digibook.

At first I didn't mind them but as I've gotten more of them, the less I like them. I'd much prefer a standard case or at least the shape of a standard case (since it's the shape of the digibooks that bugs me the most).

I would prefer a standard Blu-ray case with a nice booklet that fits inside that case. The studios do need to rein in their hideous boxset packaging though. Some of these sets look very cheaply made.

I used to despise them, but I've grown to appreciate the awesome booklets.

Hate cardboard. Thus hate digibooks.

I would like a Digibook in my collection, as long as that title comes with lossless audio.

I like them. I think they are classy and I don't mind the different look or size of them when they're filed with my other BDs. (I got over that a long time ago with CD operas and other multi-disc sets.)

I am a bit anal, however, in that I retain the outer plastic shrinkwrap (I slit it at the bottom) and keep them in the wrap for protection when I'm not watching the disc. The matte covers of the digibooks make it easy for the wrap to slip on and off.

Though I don't own any, I prefer the regular cases. If there is a digi-book, maybe it could come in another packaging. I just don't like the look of it. It reminds me of the really cheap cases warner used to use for dvd's. The cardboard with the plastic snap flap. Hated those.

I voted "no" for the reason that I would actually be more tentative to buy it, because it would make may collection look out of wack. If it were a movie I wanted....I would get it, and simply replace the "digibook" with a standard case, and download artwork. Yes, it does seem silly that the packaging would deter me from buying a movie I wanted, and it wouldnt necissarily, but if it were a movie i was on the fence about(Shawshank...like the movie....not totally sure I want to own it)....it would keep me from buying it.

I voted "NO" because I think digibooks stink and stink bad.

Here's a suggestion to all who might want to lose those ridiculous digibooks. (I posted this in another thread and then someone opened a new digibook thread, so here goes again).

I scanned a copy of the Shawshank digibook's front, back and spine. I printed the scans off on photo quality paper and after a little cutting and reassembling I then inserted it into an empty BD case.

VOILA!!

The whole process took very little time. Unless someone decides to scrutinize the thing with any great intensity, you wouldn't at all be able to tell the difference between it and any other BD case on my shelves.

Of course, I'm keeping the original case in a drawer, but as far as my BD shelves are concerned... So long stupid-sexy digibooks.

Why should I pay when this cost me nothing and it looks great?

I think its a neat little way of making the Blu Ray more collectible. You are getting more for your buck in a way.
