Hi, All,
I've been in a bit of a running battle on the Wikipedia Blu-ray Disc entry page here. In the section under Profiles an author is claiming that the 1.1 profile will make all current players "obsolete". I've corrected this, but he's now disputing my correction because I'm an insider and supposedly have a conflict of interest. There is discussion of the change at the Blu-ray Disc Talk page here (see Section 83, "Profile 1.1 makes 1.0 players obsolete". For those of you who are familiar with Wikipedia, some reasoned discussion supporting my viewpoint would help make sure the ridiculously biased opinion that existing players will be obsolete would be very helpful. No flamewars, please. Contributing to these pages is very easy to do and doesn't even require a login (though signing up for one will make you more credible). Thanks! Talk |
