Watched it last night for the first time. Wasn't bad, and I would rent a sequel, but probably wouldn't go to the theater for it.

Whilst it wasn't a great movie, I thought that it was watchable. Passes the time easily enough.

They could definitely go places with a sequel. Make their own superhero mythology.

Much like Superman, the sequel for Hancock needs a bad ass villain!

I liked the first one... the performances were good, but the storyline seemed to have suffered about 2/3 into the movie. Only suffered because it was completely random, in my opinion. I mean, I can see how the story was building up, but it still wasn't the best storyline in my opinion.

That being said, I still liked it, and am definitely a huge Will Smith fan, so Hancock 2 is a go for me.

I just watched that flick last night and thought the scenes of him flying around drunk, hungover, with a bottle in his hand were really funny, but once the movie moved him to being a good guy, it was useless.

I swear, hollywood must think we are a bunch of idiots. Just once I wish NOONE would go to a sequel of a bad film, just to register with them to get an original idea.

Imagine hollywood making a flick and not a single person went to see it.....

I'm curious when Smith is planning on making this movie. They are also working on a prequel to I Am Legend, and he wants to direct a remake of Karate Kid starring his son. I looked at his IMDB profile and he doesn't have any acting projects currently upcoming so I wonder what he'd do first.
