Exclamation Hancock 2 IS happening

Quote:
JoBlo caught up with Will Smith, who revealed that a Hancock sequel is "definitely" happening:

When we asked Will if he'd ever be up for playing another superhero he replied that there were a lot of unexplored characters in the HANCOCK universe that would be ripe for a sequel and confirmed that we'll definitely see the rumored HANCOCK 2 in a few years.

The Peter Berg-directed film, which was made for $150 million, earned $624.4 million worldwide.

Even though I still haven't seen the first movie but I'll still watch the sequel because I like Will Smith's movies.

was a typical will smith movie, i don't get all the hate.

i thought i read he hated the first one tho, and if he were ever to make a sequel, they'd ignore the first?

I hated the way it was filmed to start. The 'giant head' close ups where they can only get 3/4 to 1/2 of the actors head on the screen and then add the camera that just can't sit still. Just hate that.

Cool

I didn't mind Hancock, and had the potential to be great. Perhaps the sequel will be better.

The cinematography was kinda wonky. Like, seemed like they were using handhelds for no reason some of the time.

That is something that easily could change with a sequel though. I just saw it the other day for the first time and it was entertaining enough. I'd love to see more of that character.

The thing that really got me though was the way they really handled it how the world would be if there was this person with these powers. The legal stuff, I mean. His powers were just as unrealistic as any super hero, but the way they talked about all the costs of the damage he did and the fact that the legal system really wanted to put him away. The only thing that bothered me was when he was so easily released from jail; in reality, the only way he'd be getting out like that would be BREAK OUT, and if he did that, the corrections system would be on his case no matter how much good he did while he was broken out.

Hancock was solid, nothing great but entertaining enough that I would probably check out the sequel.

It's worth seeing. It's not a waste of your time like Wanted was.

I liked it so I'm glad they're doing a sequel. Hopefully they keep the same cast but with the way it ended, not sure if that makes sense or not.
