Please don't flame me for this, but can anyone tell me why both Velvet Revolver and Everlast are shown on HDNET, but the Blu-Ray copies are not in stores? I mean Everlast was was filmed back in '05 and VR was back in '06, anyway I digress.

I'm a fan... I currently have Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey... there are so many I want though. Among them: Destiny's Child, Celine Dion, John Legend, Shakira, Beyonce, John Mayer, Chris Botti, Hall & Oates...

Here's My Collection:
David Gilmour - Remember That Night: Live at the Royal Albert Hall Elton 60: Live at Madison Square Garden Elton John - The Red Piano Foo Fighters Live at Wemble Stadium The Moody Blues Lovely To See You Live The Police - Certifiable Rush - Snakes and Arrows Live Rolling Stones - Shine A Light U2 - Rattle and Hum Yes - Live at Montreux 2003 I'll definitely be getting Paul McCartney The Space Within US for Chirstmas (I hope), and I might get Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same, the AC/DC titles, ZZ Top Live from Texas, Queen Rock Montreal, and The Who Kilburn 1977. Here's my wishlist for 2009 (in order of most importance): 1) Genesis - When In Rome 2007 2) U2 - Vertigo 2005: Live from Chicago 3) Cream Royal Albert Hall 2005 (available on HD-DVD) 4) Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston 5) Rush - R30 (complete with the 8 missing songs) 6) Queen + Paul Rodgers - Return of the Champions/The new 2008 Kharkov show 7) Peter Gabriel - Growing Up Live 8) Phil Collins - Finally...The First Farewell Tour 9) R.E.M. Perfect Square 10) Yes Songs from Tsongas 11) Matchbox Twenty SHOW 12) Eagles Farewell I Live from Melbourne (available on HD-DVD) I would also love to see the Led Zeppelin reunion show at the O2 arena released as it was apparently filmed with 17 HD cameras as well as U2 3D which was released in theaters but has not made it to DVD and/or Blu-Ray Disc. |

Here's what I wrote in a similar thread:
I know this might be a bit out of left field here, but if any of you are interested in opera, the recently released 'Carmen' on Decca is sensational: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies...ow=userreviews The same label's 'Barber of Seville' ('Il Barbiere di Siviglia') is also very good, and the BD makes for terrific eye candy. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=1999 And, for the record (pun probably intended), while my main interest is classical music (orchestral and opera), I also have and enjoy the following on Blu: Chris Botti Dave Matthews Pat Metheny Justin Timberlake Company (the musical) |

Rush - S&A
Police - Certifiable Justin Timberlake - NYC Nine Inch Nails - Beside you in time U2 Rattle & Hum - not really a concert Best sound is a tie between Rush, Police, and NIN. Timberlake is a good PCM track, but not as good as the others. I guess the picture is pretty close, too. I guess I'd say Police is the best, then Rush, and NIN is right behind both of them. Timberlake again is good, but not up there with the rest. Wish List - Any U2 concert |

i got that Lionel Richie Live bluray today, wasnt too pleased aye the dude didnt sound so good he was too busy tryin to hype the crowd up on every song and was out of breathe, he honestly looked like a mad man. VQ and AQ were average.
Also have Legends & Korn Live at Montreux blu's. Last edited by NickBalto; 12-08-2008 at 07:34 AM. |

Oasis: Lord Don't Slow Me Down (Discovered to be 1080i and only work on PAL TV's due to the hz rate)
U2: Rattle And Hum (Grainy as hell, good sound though) Foo Fighters: Live At Wembley (All around good release, great PQ and AQ) I also want some more U2 but NOT the Vertigo show from Chicago, that sucked. Plus it was 2 shows spliced together like the Boston DVD. Hamish Hamilton sucks as a director. If Zoo TV and POP Mart were shot on film (which I doubt) then those should come out on Blu-ray. There was a show filmed in Sydney during the Lovetown tour on 16mm film I think. It has never been released in full, I would LOVE to see that on Blu-ray. U2 rant over, haha. |
