Hi. you should definitely chech out this http://www.subsonicsounds.co.uk/html/mts-01.html that set up will blow your other setup all the way into space. Svs subs and speakers are some of the best buy and value you can get. If you can afford it......then do not hesitate.

If he's going that route, then he might as well check out this, this, this, and this out for a setup.

That's cheaper than the ones I looked at! Are they of better sound quality? Also, how does anyone rate KEF KHT2005.3's?

That whole package is around 1350 in your currency, which is cheaper, yes. It's the same sub too. I'm sure you wouldn't like it any less than the Monitor 60's as they are from a trusted company of which a bunch of people own those speakers and can't be happier.

Will they work well with the Onkyo 606? I just want to be sure, as I don't want to about turn in a different direction on speakers, without knowing enough about them.

You may find several speakers that just don't sound that good to you....... but I doubt you'll find speakers that don't sound good to you BECAUSE OF the receiver you have...... some match up better etc.... but at that price point, the variables in sound quality attributed to the receiver itself are negligible....... Just focus on good sounding speakers, and whatever you hear those speakers driven by will sound similar to that of your receiver...... I doubt you'll find Krell, Classe, and Mcintosh gear pushing the speakers you're looking at..... as far as Ohm ratings etc.... all of the speakers suggested will work with your Receiver.

Heh. There are a couple people on the forums that have eD setups. From what I can see, they love them. I think it'd be a good route for you. You can audition them in-house and return them if you don't like them.

Good luck- keep us updated and take some pics!

I would not take that over these http://www.subsonicsounds.co.uk/html/mts-01.html at any time, im sure they are good but not of SvS standard, so if you can afford buying this SvS setup then do it!!!! But remember there are no sub in this package so that will cost some extra, but they are worth it.......if you can afford it.

Have you ever heard any of eD's products? SVS is good and all, but for the price, there really isn't much to compare...

So, that Ed setup. That is all Front, rear, centre and sub, yes? I notice the centre claims to be 16 inches tall, and 7 wide. Those sizes must be wrong, as a centre lays on its side, not upright.

But anyway, you say that setup is good, will work fine, etc? I'm already tiring of researching speakers, to find out they're not as good, and I need to find something different.

No, they should be excellent choices. You should try them out and see if you like them. The worst that could happen is you just can't stand how terrible they sound that you need to send them back for a refund. (Most likely will not happen).

Yeah, but sending them back would mean paying more postage, which would cost. I don't feel obligated to do that, for speakers I wouldn't keep so If I order I'l need to be 100%.
Hmm, I guess They'll do, if everyone rates them highly.
I just noticed you have the rear and centre speakers as the same model. Would that not cause conflicts if they're the same? Surely they are either designed for rear or centre speaker, not both?

Both eD and SVS would be good choices in my opinion. I would look into their return policies but it's possible they may cover shipping to return them.

Unfortunately since they're both internet-direct, there's nowhere to go and listen to them.

You really should not have to do that. I'm almost guaranteeing that you'll like them. The towers and center I linked you aren't the exact same speakers or else the center would be a tower too. In any case, it would be best to have timbre-matched speakers (which they are.) If you had more money you wanted to spend and had the room, you could order three pairs of the towers and ask for a single tower for a 7.1 system that completely matches. It isn't necessary to do that, but if had the money, will, and space...

The Centre Is just one of the Rears turned on its side. That's what I meant by them being the same.

You're right. That site has the MTM (center channel) sold as a pair for bookshelves. It shouldn't matter much though. That just means you'll have even more seemless surround integration.

Ack, no no no. I bought a similar setup for only $1,200. For your sake and for my dignity, please look elsewhere. Try J&R, Amazon private sellers, eBay, and other misc. sellers online. you're paying more than retail prices with what you've listed.

Good choice in equipment btw.
