RIP 20gb Ps3!!

I know that most of us all know that the 20 GB playstation 3 will not be made anymore. The link mentions that the 20 never was released in Europe.

You could always get the 60 and sell the 20 on ebay.

The 20gig was a silly idea. They didn't even sell them in europe! Hell, 60gig wernt big enuf 4 me. I went and upgraded it to 160gb. Twaz only £70 off ebay. Took 9 hours to format tho lmao.

what does formatting consist of when you purchase an external HD and attach it to the PS3?...

9 houes seems a bit extreme....but then again, I've let my computer go 10 hours+ converting movies to PS3 format..

Looking back at what sony did, I think that they just wasted their time and money on the 20 because every sony fan knew that they wanted the 60. Microsoft had the two differnet packages which I thought at first was a bad idea, but now I don't think that it was even though I'm not an xbox 360 fan. If you had the 20 and applyed the updates on it, you wouldn't have a lot of free space left. Why wasn't the 20 even sold in europe. Is it because that the 20 sold so poorly in the states and in japan that sony knew if they sold the 20 in europe, that it wouldn't do much better? Maybe they made the 20 to save people $100.00 because everyone thought that sony was crazy to ask $600.00 for the console.

I really dont know lmao! I wanted it to be formatted so i could put linux on it. I could either choose the 10 second quick format or the 9 hour full format. I thought it mite be better if i fully formated it. It really was nine hours though.
And yeah I convert my ps3 movies over night. They take so long lol.

I think it is because they didn't sell well. Plus I don't know one person that wouldn't get the 60gig version. The english are very what what and what the best. I always say, 'if your gonna get it, get it properly'.
