So I have had this game for some time now and I love it. I cant play it to much cuz I get bad image retention after 2 hours and I dont wanna risk burn in.
Yesterday I beat the game on normal and it looped to hard and I died in the first hard lvl. Does hard ever get unlocked as a choice to start from or is it always just normal and easy? Also, what do you all think about the add-ons you can buy? I love this game so im considering it but then agian burn-in fear prevents me from playing to much. FYI: High Score on normal is 49 million (dont have exact score right now) Also, I almost got the 10x multiplier trophy, I had 9x for a while so I had to be close but then I got hit. Any tips for getting the 15 tokens with one boost trophy? I can never get them to line up quite right. |

What I did was collect a few regular tokens first, lined them up with the bonus rock, and then boosted through all of them at once. There is a huge thread on this somewhere on this forum.

Don't shoot the green astroid when it comes down. line up with the center of it and boost right thought the center you will get them all if you are lined up with the center.

I have 260+ trophies, and the two hardest trophies to get were late boomer, and the ten nukes (I forget the name).

- Hard is never unlocked from the start. You have to complete the game on Normal to progress to Hard, complete the game on Hard to progress to Elite, and complete the game on Elite to progress to Suicide. I've never finished Suicide difficulty so I can't tell you if there's more beyond it.
![]() - The multiplayer expansion adds split-screen co-op and versus modes into the game (along with a relatively easy gold trophy if that sort of thing suits you). - The single player mode expansion adds some cool new modes with some very challenging trophies, the most difficult being Late Boomer. Check the SSHD megathread for advice on it. |

Probably because they know only a tiny fraction of players could ever reach it? I consider myself pretty good at SSHD, I've been playing shmups for decades and I still only manage to get to that level once in a blue moon (maybe a half dozen times total).
