Ledger did a great job. Very creepy and was by far the best performance in any comic book movie ever. Hell, I'll even say that his rendition of The Joker was the best on-screen villain since Anthony Hopkin's Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. (Which did in-fact win him an Oscar). Using THAT logic, I'd be ok about it. I just can't help but feel that he wouldn't even be considered by the academy if he hadn't tragically died a young age.

You can always just tune in for the ads
(http://www.variety.com/awardcentral_...ryid=1982&cs=1)

like people do with the Superbowl who aren’t interested at all in the actual game itself.

Well kmoney Wall-E will get nominated but for best aniimation picture. There is a seperate category for that. What is wrong with the Dark Knight? That was one of best all around movies I have seen in awhile.

As for the Oscars sucking, I agree. Too many favorites.

Anything Kidman, Penn, or Russell Crowe seem to touch the academy loves to honor. What about Harrison Ford? A great actor only one ever nomination and he has been in some of the biggest films ever.

not to call you out or anything but i really don't agree with that. I mean i don't believe Ledger will win. But i do believe that he was getting a lot of buzz even before he died. I really think him dying has nothing to do with him being considered by the academy

You right, he did. It just got amplified after his death IMO. I'm glad you said you don't think he'll win. It seems like too many people are ready to give him the Oscar without even bothering to go see anyone else's performances. I think that may be what I'm most upset about over all.

Mama Mia!!!!!!!!! Thats a stupid chick flick!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mama Mia! is garbage!! The Dark Knight deserves to be nominated over that. So do the other crappy movies of this year, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Never Back Down!!! Mabye even Twilight. And I HATE Twilight. HATE it. In fact I hate it so much that once I got banned for making fun of it so much.
