I've had 100% good results with Fedex for 8 years of shipping eBay stuff, etc. They ARE cheaper than UPS.

I'd rather be upset on UPS. Their prices are ridiculous, and I've received a couple things damaged from them. One of them was their fault for sure, and it took over a year to get any money from it.

I must say, that I am alittle bit of a FedEX fanboi, and I do not approve this message

I've always had better luck with Fedex than UPS or DHL. I'm sorry you're having issues but they would be the same even with the other shipping vendors.

I usually have better luck with FedEx than with UPS or even USPS. I don't think there's a DHL in my area.

I've seen some mentioned of DHL in this thread and there have been numerous posts online, over the years, about missing shipments allegedly stolen by employees (to include Dell, etc). If you haven't heard already, DHL will cease to provide Domestic-only services to the US on 1 Feb 09. However, US customers can still receive International shipments via DHL.

They had a news story on this around here. People were following Fed Ex and UPS trucks around and would wait until they dropped off packages. The got a description of one of the guys. He was picking up some packages that had just been dropped off and the guy who lived there came out and asked him what he was doing. They guy said oh, I have the wrong address and took off. I guess it has been happening a lot everywhere lately. If it isn't insured, they won't pay.

same sh*t is happening here too. this has probably always been happening, it just seems magnified due to the fact that millions of americans are struggling to make ends meet.

How did the packages get stolen?

Overall, my experience with FedEx has been good over the past few years. I've had two very bad experiences with UPS but with the amount of shipping we do here at my job, it's a small percentage.

It also annoys me how much both shippers charge almost $5 just for signature delivery.

JW, just to let you know, my brother also had a package stolen by Fedex. When sonystyle was having the black friday sale on the Sony BDP-S350, he bought one and had it shipped via Fedex. Somehow after two weeks it still hadn't been delivered and tracking showed nothing. Turns out someone at Fedex CHANGED the shipping address to another one and it was shipped to an employees house. I was completely flabbergasted when I heard that the address was changed and we know it wasn't sonystyle since the address at Sony was our home address. He did a chargeback and we will continue to boycott shady ass companies like Fedex.

FedEx is absolutely horrible!
We have had so much trouble with them this year, it is not funny any more.

Too bad DHL closed down now, as they have been way more reliable and cheaper!!!

Might have a look into shipping with UPS, which will cost more, but will hopefully be worth it!

Had a $2000 claim on a package about 2 months ago, that contained digital media and did not reach the destination at all. Not only have we lost out on a huge update for a major website, but they were also giving us a hard time in getting the money back, which has been insured, because due to them you need a receipt of a product. In this case they would usually only cover the cost of the actual discs!!! So we had to proof that this is worth a lot more to us than just that.
Been FTPing a lot more since as well...

They sure lost our business.

well looking at the internal tracking the manager showed me, it shows that it was scanned to a trailer by employee/scanner xx destined for Lewisberry PA............Thats the last they have been seen

Occurred on 2 different dates 11/28/2008 and 12/4/2008 only. I ship things daily.

Wow man, sorry about your loss of that product.

I personally have only had a problem with DHL. They dropped a 32" flat screen that i ordered as a spare tv. It was obvious it had dropped after i opened and it didnt work because of it. It was cracked really bad and was unusable. 500 bucks in the hole because DHL didn't care...i even had insurance. GREAT customer service. I would get written up for bad customer service where I work...it was crap.

I work at Lowes btw.

Sorry for your loss and unhappy customers.
