With Watchmen being such an anticipated title, Fox would be insane not to release it. That is, if they infact to get the film as a result of the case. I think WB would try their best to make sure that they get to keep it, but who really knows what will happen at this point.

well good. i'm dying to see the film as much as anyone else, but if this movie gets screwed tough. warner knew better and went ahead anyone. so no one needs to be harping on fox for anything. this isn't their fault.

I'm sorry, but Fox did let Warner Brothers know that they still had the rights to The Watchmen when they went into preproduction (When Fox became aware).

I just hope they release it in March as announced. I could care less if Fox or WB handles it's distribution.

I'm afraid we won't get to see this one until late summer or even NEXT holiday season at the earliest...

Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm sure that we will see this on schedule. Fox has to be looking at all the new publicity they are getting for free because of this lawsuit. They would be insane not to work something out with WB and get this released, it will do better now that it's getting even more attention!

What does this mean for the tales of the black freighter. All I want is just getting the complete directors cut with the black freighter story put into the movie

Fox is not the bad guy. Warner Brothers is. They got the fans excited, new they did not have the rights, and still went ahead with this. I think it will be delayed but released later. Fox will make a killing. They have put zero dollars towards this so far. Anything they make will be mondo profit.
