I haven't seen the 300 available at retail yet but that would be nice ..however here was the problem with the previous 200gb version Fujitsu put out..

You should check and make sure that it won't be a problem with the PS3.

The "better" news is the article is reviewing a Toshiba that is 200gb and the standard size so it looks like it's now possible as you say. But then again it's Toshiba so I think I'll wait to see what Seagate does I think..

Also looks like Samsung just announced a 200gb in the last few days at a blazing 7200rpm..bet it will be expensive.

Personally, I think that's a waste of time. What they should do is go for a matching 120gb and make that system cost $599 MSRP.

Why? Because we all know MS is woefully overcharging for the price of the 120GB harddrive on the Elite.

Oh they can still do this. All that is needed is for the X-Box 360 Elite to be released. On that same day, SCE can announce the new 80GB and 160GB models for the same ol' price.

Yes I noticed this as well. I suppose if 9 days equals one month in this reporter's mind, then I take the rest of the article with a grain of salt.
