Event Horizon.........found early

i thought it was very scary the first time i saw it but i watched it last weekened when it was on tv and some of the effects look rather dated , the spaceship shots and the ones of space looked great but there is a scene where you see some objects floating around and they looked like a bad games graphics.

if you like scary movies its well worth a rental im thinking about importing it myself as im a big fan of sam neil

This is the OP......I have watched it. (see my sig for gear list) I thought this was a descent sci-fi horror flick. the picture quality/AQ, was pretty much spot on with Blu-ray.coms reviews........True HD track was descent.....Some slight grain in a few scenes but lasted only a few seconds.For the most part this was enjoyable.....I still don't see what was so shocking, or disturbing about this movie though........Just a good deep space horror flick.I would probably rent first if you haven't seen this one, but the fans of this will definitely enjoy it!

+1. It was a good movie to go to though with a girl that I wanted to date at that time. That movie scared the hell out of both of us.

Scary will the first adjective you'll use to describe the film. I didn't like the movie's ending, but I never saw an uncut (or unrated) version. That is probably something I'd like to see on blu. Definitely as a rental at least.

If you can rent it on blu at blockbuster, then I'd do that first. If you don't have anyplace close that rents blu-rays yet, then you should wait till the movie is $15 or less (with both tax and shipping included).

I agree with other posters. The scariness/sadistic nature of the film is something that you won't quickly forget...even year later.

really? here we goooooo again........will you never understand? i think about 15 people have replied to your post's with the same answer....do you always have to talk about prices? and how its going to be cheaper? ...and how this is going to be this and that....i really still cannot believe you let the price of a money hinder how you feel about it...its ridiculous...really.

Wow. Getting new blu's must be hard for you. Especially when you need to wait for sub $10 dollar ones.

wish i had seen this movie when it came out i seen it about a month ago for the first time because i heard the game Dead Space was based off this movie and the movie was eh to me, nothing really disturbing or scary about it.

This movie scared me to death when it first came out. Gave me nightmares too. I guess kiddies today are used to all the gore and horror so they are not that much suprprised when they see it.

It has been awhile and I really liked watching this last night on BD. I'd say go for it if you enjoy this movie. The PQ and AQ are more than acceptable and should add to your enjoyment of this HT experience.
