Really? Haven't seen that yet but I keep thinking about...

Do you usually like romance/period pieces?

Well all you have to do is view my collection, even just the blu-rays which are listed on my profile and you can see what I like. I just thought Becoming Jane was boring, nothing really happened. :P I couldn't understand most of the lines(bad hearing) so I may need to rent it at some point to make sure it sucks.

Pretty hard to judge based on that but yeah. I watched Repo with the sound low because musicals are loud and my mom was sleeping... went to sleep, woke up and watched it at a better volume and got much more into it. Plus movies are almost always better the second time.

I hear that, a LOT of my favourite stuff are acquired tastes, not sure why I have to see stuff more than once to start liking it, oh well.

Add me to the list of Anne Hathaway fans. I only partially agree about Becoming Jane. It's not something I would buy by any means even though it stars Anne Hathaway, but it was alright for what it was. I would say if someone hasn't seen it yet and they really like Anne Hathaway, a rental wouldn't be that bad.

Anyways, in reply to the OP, I will be blind-buying Rachel Getting Married on Tuesday. Anne Hathaway + a great performance + good reviews = no brainer for me.

Rachel Getting Married was my favorite movie last year. No question; first day purchase.

The first time I see a movie I'm critical, the second I try to appreciate it for what's there. Even movies I love from the beginning I get even more into on future viewings.

thoroughly good movie but I'm not sure I'll ever really need to see it agian. maybe when it's on sale, and depending on features (director's commentary would probably sell me but I'm 99% sure it's absent)

Overwhelming fairly good reviews.....may just have to put down some cash to get it.

Thanx for all the responses

Its not for anyone. Personally I'm a fan of films that deal with relationships/addictions, and Rachel Getting Married was quite good at immersing the viewer in a believable family situation.

Looks like a 1-time watch-through....i'll give it a rental but it appears to be a chick flick....no offense.

The director isn't in the audio commentaries included, but there is a video featurette with the cast and crew that is nearly 50 minutes long and he is included in there.

If by chick flick you mean a film for intelligent, thoughtful people, then yes. If by chick flick you mean chick flick then most definitely no.

got it. although I wasn't wowed by the lack of sales on this one.

$29.99 Anne is worth it. Although technically $25.99 since I used my RZ coupon

I would say what I really thought about this movie but that would spoil it, suffice it to say it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.

Wow...honestly Anne Hathaway was perfect for this role. I am not sure if anyone else could have done it. She was able to carry emotion so well!

The movie was good, not great...the performances were fantastic. Definitely recommend it, although it is not for everyone.

Blind bought this because I love Anne Hathaway. She was amazing in the role, but I think the film could've been cut down 15-20 minutes.
