This IS my favorite movie, in fact it turned me on to seriously watching cinema in general, until I saw this, movies were about something fun to do on a date, nothing more.

I will buy this the first day its out no doubt at all. I have the newly remastered DVD version which I haven't seen yet because I actually saw it just days before I happened to see this version in the store.

The first DVD release looked, I hate to say it, horrible on my TV, I hadn't watched Braveheart since I got my 46" LCD and it was a bit painful to watch, there was so much noise and crap.

I should go throw the remastered version in now just to check it out, but I'm wondering if it keeps getting delayed because they have to really clean it up for Blu-ray, I'll keep waiting if that's the case, to see it in all its glory.

When I saw Braveheart I thought Mel Gibson looked pretty hot in a skirt. Especially when he was wearing all that make-up on his face. If one caught just a passing glimpse of Gibson dressed like that one might have thought he was a drag queen (did you notice that hair doo and his protective chest armor?).

While not HD, the SD DVD upconverted looks pretty darn good on my LCD. I hope the BD gets released soon but for now I enjoy what I have. BTW, try the movie soundtrack. FABULOUS!!

Yeah it looks no bad but it's still lacking heavily in detail and color.
