I just got Brave Heart in Blu-Ray on eBay for $13.25 from Movie Magic. Every disc after the first one is $1.50 extra postage.

Well, today is release day for Braveheart in France. I had pre-ordered a copy and now it shows up as "Temporairement en rupture de stock" which probably means "out of stock". Still no picture of the Blu-ray on the Amazon.fr site. Strange, i wonder if it isn't some sort of goof-up.

I saw the same thing last night, I was waiting for some type of confirmation that it had been officially released. I mean, it couldn't have been complete BS if they have all this information about it on this website:

hmmm yeah i checked the above links and still no braveheart in france
even so, that one link shows region B...but still it would be nice to know if there is even the slightest change of region free...anyone in the US got the ba*#s to order this yet?? i bailed

If it's ever confirmed in stock, I just might. This is my absolute #1 most wanted BD. Gladiator is a close 2nd...

They are constantly changing their descriptions. Now it's

"Cet article paraîtra le 21 mai 2008." = "This article will be released on Mai 21, 2008"

I also had "will be delivered in two weeks" and "will be released soon" (meaning no date at all).

So let's wait and see. I am still hoping.

BTW it will be released by FOX, masters of region coding for catalog titles.

huh? You mean the french part? I gave the translation right there, after the "=". Amazon.fr says the release date is supposed to be 21 mai 2008 now.

But don't get your hopes up too high. They had a release date for 08 april 2008 which just fizzled out to nothing. I had actually ordered it and it seemed to be an error on their side. I followed the info they have given about the release date/availability after that day and almost each time i opened the site, it had a different message....

I think once we get an actual photo of the cover this might hold some credibility. However, it make me wonder...where is Amazon getting these dates from?

You're right though, Blaumann, Fox will most likely screw us over with the Region B lock...
