Too bad the Rocky sequels don't get the same treatment as 1 and Balboa.
I know hi-definition versions exist because they have aired on television and are available for download on playstation 3, I can't seem to find any news on Blu Ray release dates tho. Rocky 4 would be pretty sweet in HD. |

Yes, if I remember right, PSN has Rocky 2 and 3 available for *rental only* download in 1080p. That meaning you can download it and watch it for 30 days and it is deleted off your system after that...somebody correct me if I'm off on the numbers. I believe these are the same two versions that are aired on HD television.
I find it rather odd that any movie would go through the rather costly and time consuming process of hi-definition restoration, only for the end product to be aired on television or make a $5 download on PSN. |

I think the PSN rental only downloads are a waste of money. Why go through all that bother when you cant even keep the end product(unless you figure out some way to hack your ps3 and copy the movie to some external source so it can be burned).
I think the problem is that studios are becoming more reluctant to release catalog titles on blu ray with the ailing economy and people being less likely to adopt the blu ray format when theyre struggling to pay their bills every month. |

Yeah true just not as many as I had hoped though. The Rocky series is one of the most well-known movie series worldwide, I'm suprised it hasn't had a complete Blu Ray release yet.

Lol I think that's the same cover art from the original VHS release of the movie.
And of course when you go from the 2-disk special edition DVD to the blu-ray, you have to remove all the special features. |

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate...rUrl=Translate They seem to be coming out in Germany on June 15. Hopefully that means we will see a US version around that time. |
