update: Preview from an Ar Tonelico fan event. Mostly from the intro (guessing), but also has short clips of the main character wandering around environments, and even some short battle clips! Wonderous stuff, really, the intro animation reminds me of Gankutsuou. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IPHcY4qV-M via rykomatsu from neogaf: Quote:
Video of a battle that's probably NSFW! Another battle video, also NSFW, featuring Saki this time! Countdown clock, with new goodies (voice clips, videos) every day until the game is released! A new trailer with even more awesome stuff (including the infamous Saki dance)! Also NSFW! Why are you trying to watch an Ar Tonelico 3 trailer at work anyway? ![]() Back of the box specifications leaked from Japan include 1080p support (dunno if scaled) and 7.1 surround. ![]() Last edited by androvsky; 01-22-2010 at 03:57 AM. |

And sorry for not seeing this thread beforehand but I did look at a couple of pages in the Blu-ray Games and PS3 section but after a couple of pages I didn't think it was posted since I figured it had to be brand new news. ![]() |

Cost: 7,329 yen 44-page Hardcover Art Book for Pre-Orders Science fiction RPG Ar Tonelico’s third installment is attracting attention for shameless panchira and some distinctly ambiguous dialogue… The game is lengthily titled Ar Tonelico 3: Sekai Shuuen no Intetsu wa Shounen no Uta ga Hiku, and is due for a PS3 release on the 28th of January 2010. Along with the expected relationship dynamics the series is known for, the new game appears set to explore its potential as ero-RPG…. Characters have special abilities which involve exposing their underwear (I would post the link for it but could be banned because of the images that site has if you want to know the site just PM me) Last edited by MOONPHASE; 10-15-2009 at 08:40 PM. |

AT2 things you will notice that apply to the 1st game: -Spica who worked in a shop on Firefly Alley to sell Kitty Candy owns a new shop in AT2 that you will visit very often to synthesize medicines. -Teru Tribe people from the 1st game appear again in AT2(well most of them work at the Dive Shops) which is where you dive into the Revyateil's minds and enter their cosmospheres. -Jacqli is actually [Show spoiler] though she tries to hide it as much as she can but because Spica was also in the 1st game she knows exactally who Jacqli is(though you won't find out who Jacqli really is unless you go very deep into her cosmosphere). -Shurelia, Misha, and Aurica who are the main 3 Revyateils in the 1st game make an appearance in Frelia's cosmosphere(kind of a side thing to just throw them into the game for no apparent reason since they add nothing new to the AT2's story). -Shurelia, Misha, and Aurica do appear when you do a certain synchronity chain attack that looks like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt1ASvGnkVE So yeah if AT3 only has similar stuff like that in it then I would say no it doesn't require to play the 1st 2 games. And also there is the fact that AT2 takes place at the 2nd Tower while AT3 takes place in the 3rd Tower. But if you want to play the previous 2 beforehand I know Amazon.com is still selling the game that includes the artbook. AT2 you could probably still find it somewhere nearby since it's not that rare well at least not yet because I know the 1st game is like almost impossible to find especially including the artbook. I think Play-Asia.com still has the 1st game but without the artbook. (The artbook for the 1st game has a little history section included and I think Amazon sells it seperately for people who own the game but not the artbook). |

This is a kind of game you would normally expect it to be like on the PC as like some kind of hentai dating sim but since there isn't any hentai scenes even with all of the sexual innuendo it was basically passed as just going straight to Playstation 2 and now Playstation 3. It could of however been like Tears To Tiara or Utawarerumono and go from a visual novel for pc with some rpg gameplay into edited video game rpg. Not really explaining what the game is about but just giving a little background. Also it looks like you missed the funny thing I added to this thread. |

Jacqli was my gal of choice in AT2. Her ending song was amazing.
Iono, I liked Aurica AND Shurelia in #1, but I didn't like either of the main girls in #2. It's a good thing Jacqli was there or I'd have been bummed. No offense to your avatar, Moonphase ![]() |

Yes it's like a dating sim just no hentai and your choices in the game help decide which girl you get besides the whole diving into their Cosmpspheres. But that underwear statement I added to this thread i'm starting to wonder if this new installment means Ar Tonelico is getting closer and closer to some kind of hentai or at least something close to it.
