darn, if only there was one close to north county dublin.... or in the city centre close to work

i know they are in liffey valley and blanchardstown.. they also have a store in dundalk so tempted to take a spin up there tomorrow.. wonder if its worthwhile though or since hmv announced they are to buy them are they still clearing stock?

yeah liffey valley and one in Newbridge. Sale is still on! 40% off blu ray.. going to head over tmrw again to see if there are further reductions.

went to dundalk branch today

10 blu-rays for 120 euro... not bad

highlights were kill bill 1/2 for 12 euro each

also got v for vendetta, dark city, cliffhanger, total recall, maid in manhatton, unbreakable, basic instinct, master & commander...

not many new titles in there... but pretty good value compared to the likes of HMv which is ironic seeing as HMV have bought some of the stores up... kill bill boxset is priced at 49 euro in hmv...

Nice one mick, not bad at all! Great deal on the Kill Bills! Was in Liffey Valley today and took a trip to Newbridge too. Got Superman The Movie, The Hills Have Eyes, Face Off, Hostel II, The Mist, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Sweeney Todd (steelbook) - all €12

Still not that good in poundland. Went for a look today and Blu-rays seem to be the only thing not selling. Quite a few at £14.99 with 25% off, but still a lot of the better known ones are between £18 and £22, also with 25% off. In general not as good as you can online - though a bit better than they were before. Stocks of just about everything else in the shop are disappearing fast, floor space is down quite a bit with one floor closed.

They had the Mist in Dundalk but it it was 16.99... pricing seems all over the place... i brought about 20 films up to the counter and the girl was kind enough to put them through the scanner for me to check prices.. i settled on going for anything that was 11.99...

tempted to look at more... but probably should quit while i'm ahead..

the fox titles are generally more expensive so i was surprised to see Master & Commander @ 12

is there a good selection in the dundrum store? is it still open? might take a trip on the luas out there at lunch time as its doable..

i wouldnt heed any of the sticker prices.. a lot of what i brought up the counter had 29.99/39.99... 25.99 etc and they all scanned @ 11.99

Just been out to Liffey Valley - they've loads of blu stock left.

Picked up 4 movies for €52.51

Hellboy II (16.54)
Extras 11.99
Robocop 11.99
Chocolate 11.99

There's limited stock left overall though (cd'dvd's etc) - not sure how long more it'll last as zavvi, get in and get the bargains while they're going.

I kept checking out the two Zavvi stores closest to me, and was always disappointed by their prices. Their blu-rays seemed shockingly overpriced and even with 25% off marked price they were still more expensive than the deals on Amazon.

I picked up From Russia With Love & Superman Returns today, both for £9.74 each, Bargain!
