As soon as I read this thread I ordered one. And yes it had the slip-cover in the thick three-disc box.

I always saw slip covers as waste of paper. I mean; "Wow, I have the cover printed twice!!!"

It's a minor thing, but I too would rather not have a slip cover. Seems like a waste of paper and just adds extra bulk that could have allowed me to slip another disk or two onto the shelf. (The extra thickness of all those covers does add up. ).

I've always thought slip covers were good because they protect your title from dust and damage..

Some of my titles have those extra-round corners too and they look different than the "regular" BD cases.

I personally prefer the BD cases to those old DVD cases. The Blue spine gives them all a uniformity on the shelves.

Blu-ray has brought up a lot of questions I never asked before, like why are DVD cases so big? They're almost twice as big as the discs they hold.. why use those extra resources?

Granted, the blue plastic turned me off, but that's just because I don't like blue. I thought maroon looked better on the inferior technology.. or better yet, no color at all. Let's make the cases as small as possible and cover every inch of them with artwork. None of this "HD/BLU-RAY/AWESOME EXPERIENCE" stuff cluttering our stuff. But then again, that would keep the normal shoppers from being able to tell the difference. It's kind of like those big annoying signs that say, "CAN'T USE IN NORMAL DVD PLAYER, NEED SPECIAL BLU-RAY PLAYER."

I don't mind slipcovers. In the case of Disney releases, most if not all of their outer slipcovers offer same art that is underneath, but adds a nice shine & embroidered lettering to it.

Yeah, like on the Sleeping Beauty slipcover. That one looks so nice I took it off b/c I didn't want it to get damaged.

Just got my copy of Wall-E 3-discer (ordered when I saw this thread, from Amazon), and it indeed has a slipcover.

Phew.
