I know you expect this.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If someone feels morally boobs are bad, then they should keep to their moral beliefs. ![]() On a rant! Can't stop! Getting off track! Sorry! If terrosists spent more time learning about how to enjoy videos of women, pictures of women and real-live women, rather than firearms and explosives the world would be a happier place. Full Metal Jacket: This is my rifle [presenting M1]; this is my gun [grabbing crotch]. This is for fighting [presenting M1]; this is for fun [grabbing crotch]. "Son, leave the rifle! Go and have fun with your gun." I am married, 2 years, no son yet. But, someday when I have a son, I will allow him to watch Band of Brothers, violence and nudity and all. If my wife says it's ok. ![]() |

this thread is funny. what do you intend to do when this scene comes up. tell him to go get you a soda?
personally i don't have a kid yet but it sounds like you haven't had a father-son talk with him yet about intercourse. 16 is sort of too late if he's already the 'ladies man' type at his school. lets be real, most young boys lose their viriginity in HS unless they are fat/unattractive, thats just life. seeing some boobies as a teen is normal. |

all joking aside, what are your true thoughts on this borninusa. I am just curious I have a young son so I am kind of intrigued by your question. Do you really think seeing a booby is going to destroy your sons mind. I am just curious what your thoughts are.
Just doesnt make sense that you will let him see kids his age having their brains blown out and blown up but a sex scene is so bad. just curious not bashing you |

I am in the opinion that Band Of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan should be shown in schools. Kids need to learn about these events and instead of protecting them we need to show it too them and explain the reasons that made these things happen. Let's tell them that yes these event took places, yes these young 20 something boys did and face these things. Explain to them what were the reasons that these boys ended up on a beach in Normandy or in a forest in west Belgium and were trying to kill other young men from a different country. Instead of hidding the true from them, let them see it and explain it to them. With some chances they will learn from those mistakes and with some luck again maybe their own kids when they will be 20 something won't have to go off somewhere and die or try to kill some other 20something kids.

To answer your question...No, I do not think seeing a boob is going to destroy my sons mind. Oh..by the way..no big deal on bashing..or not bashing...I knew the response I was going to get with this question (beyond the info I asked). Anyways... I have a 16 yr son who has had the talk...mult times. I dont mind talking to him about this sort of stuff but this is a kid (who does like girls--had to throw that in because I can see a 'gay' comment happening) who is more into video games and Warhammer. If there is a butt on tv, he turns his head. Like I said, the boy likes girls but is a bit socially not with it yet. I have introduced him to a lot of movies that he probably shouldnt have watched at his age at that point (I think I showed him Die Hard like 4 yrs ago)...but never really anything with nudity. I dont mind it..sorta like it (nothing like a good boob or two--hopefully 2). Its more of a wife thing. I could show him the BOB's episode with the nudity...but the wife is not totally hip to it. No, I am not niave(sp) and dont deny that the bedroom has probably been locked on a few occasions for that special alone time...nor do I think he hasnt seen anything yet. I am sure he has...as far as boobs go. Its just one of those things that hasnt been shown to him yet...with my wife and I being in the room. I guess thats it. I didnt think I would spark such a big response..but like I said..I knew what I was going to get once I wrote it. All in good fun. |

This is a funny thread. I have to agree with some who wrote how uptight we are in the USA. It seems to me that there is a correlation to the ammount of violence in the USA since we have so many violent shows and movies. Don't get me wrong, I love that stuff, but I don't get why we are so uptight about the boobies. My son is going to be 20 in March. when he was younger like about 10 years old I pretty much let him watch anything I watched as long as I watched it with him. Didn't matter whether it had some nudity or not or violence. As long as I was there to explain if he had a question. Flash forward to now, he is working and going to college with no ill effects.
I will say this, if I had to make a choice between showing a child some nudity in a movie vs. graphic violence, I would go with the nudity. The reason is that sex is natural and violence to me is not. Did you ever notice how many ratings and warnings there are on TV shows especially cartoons, but you never see the same warnings on the news? I find that very strange. It's like they are saying here's a rating for Bugs Bunny, but I could be watching the news and all of a sudden there is the massacre in India and it got no warning. Just my 2 cents. |
