but yea i realize she had some help. but as this thread and the debunked rumors suggest..somebody with almost nothing up front like milla and megan fox just wouldnt work. thatd look silly

That's what "Tomb Raider" is to you, but there are those out there who are fans of the game series not because (or not just because) of that but all the more for its stories and the very character of Lara Croft.


If all people would want from a film is a sex symbol, they could go and find a bunch of mediocre-to-awful past films or easier yet just go and watch porn. For everyone else, they want an actual film with a good/interesting story filled with engaging/interesting characters... an empty vehicle to show off a big-breasted woman in tight clothing is not that.


If the original game franchise is in fact just that, there's no reason why the eventual team behind the reboot could not aim much higher.

i dunno why he's arguing with me here. is anyone else gonna speak up and agree that a big breasted attractive woman is all tomb raider is about? i mean..when the game came out..thats all anyone cared about lol. thats all anyone cared about with the 2 movies..why would it change all of a sudden?

tomb raider is an action/adventure game centered on an extremely attractive character. therefore, if the producers want to remain loyal to the game, they too will make an action/adventure movie with lots of puzzles and centered on an extremely attractive character.

I happen to agree with J UNTITLED here. As he said there's an avenue for people that just want to view flesh. I'm sorry, but Angie's chest was not that overwhelming (c'mon, compared to what we've seen out there in movies, I can't even recall her cleavage showing -- I saw way more in the older Bond films! The costumes she wore showed nothing especially remembering the 2nd film -- the swim attire, the horse riding outfit, the motorbike outfit, etc. all great costumes), they just gave her some padding to be more in line with the game character, the boobs weren't the focal point of the movies. I especially enjoyed the second film, just an entertaining action film, and Gerard Butler was hott!

I think ultimately we want to see smart, beautiful women who can kick butt but are still feminine! Trinity from the Matrix is one that comes to mind. There are so many complexities with a woman character that can be brought to the fore, I think those characters and Angie have pioneered for actresses to be in action roles! I welcome it and if Megan Fox can pull it off, more power to her!

Please!!!! I hope they don't screw up Wonder Woman!!! Get Josh Whedon back on board to write it! Sorry for the OT...

sorry..but tomb raider was only ever popular because it was a decent platformer game that had a chick with big boobs. hollywood grabbed the idea and made it into a movie.

its not some deep game/movie with tons of plot. its about an action movie with an attractive woman. sorry..you guys are wrong

If they're talking about Milla Jovovich, I'm forced to disagree with their *WANT* to have her in the role.

Lara Croft is known worldwide for her ample... attitude... and Milla is sorely lacking in that department.
