That's better. I was going to say that would really hurt the PS3 if they were going to be releasing a new system so soon. People would stop buying the PS3, and that would be bad for us that were early adopters. We need the installed user base of the PS3 to grow so developers will make more games for it (especially exclusives). Bring on the new Ratchet & Clank!! I want it.

this doesn't sound like a playstation 4 to me...

this sounds like a whole new type of system....that is alot more expensive...

this is what a real "premium" and "basic" SHOULD look like...a system that is probably 1000 or more....or a system that is around 300-400...

..the difference between a premium and basic shouldn't be that the other one has wi-fi, alot more memory and has card reader....it also shouldn't be 100 bucks in difference either....IMO of course..

No no... Sony won't release a new model of their PS3. Or not this soon!
Remember what they did to the 20GB model?

That's to funny to actually believe that sony will release a ps4 so soon. they haven't even stepped through the door with the ps3 yet let alone launch another system. For them to invest so much money on the ps3 and just abort it, is insane. i'm not sure where i read this but news on the ps3 was spreading around in 1999 during the early ps2 time frame on how sony and ibm was working on the cell chip for the next playstation. so given that, just goes to show how console developers are always looking 1 or 2 consoles ahead. so any news on the ps4 coming soon is just rubbish. more likely M$ will have another console out then sony.

In japan they have one of these "media center" PS2's. It's big box that combines a DVR with a PS1,PS2 and other stuff. Called a PSX.

And, think about how long it would take to download a complete game of around 25GB or so. Before that happens, I believe a network speed of at least 50 - 100Mbps would need to be the majority of internet connections. I think the PS4 will feature a much faster Blu-ray drive (10x or better), an improved version of the cell processor (or two cell processors ), and of course a much faster/beefier graphics card. I think we will start to hear real specs start to leak out around 2011 or 2012.
Makes alot sense.

Hmmm, that wasn't too successful, right?

Yup. Plant some seeds of doubt and hesitation.

Very limited success, but that was expected. The price tag doesn't exactly make this an entry level system. The best guess I've seen so far is these PS4 rumors were started by Sony preparing a followup PS3 version of the PSX.

Default indeed

with chip and processor development i`d say 5 years or even less average shelf life for a system but being that ps3 is BD based i`d give it a lil longer
