Disney's Pinocchio. Not the original release, I'm not that old. I was 3, my older brother took me, and bought me root beer flavored candy.

However, it was long enough ago that it was a real theater with curtains. In those days, theater operators were told that the audience was never to see a blank screen. Movies began with a studio logo projected on closed curtains, which immediately started to open and were fully open by the time the movie started.

Default Too old to qualify

My first theater movie memory was watching "Thirteen Ghosts" in B&W using special glasses to see the ghosts. For a kid it was very scary which probably erased any earlier movie memories for me. That was a 1960 movie! And yes despite being old my eyesight is good enough to really appreciate Blu-ray!

Nightmare on Elm Street when I was four. Only movie I really remember back then. I also remember seeing bits of House. Most notably then scene towards the end where's he's running away from his ex soldier buddy and goes out the window, hanging above the ciffs.

I also faintly remember scenes of movies that I have no idea what they are. I think I remember watching a movie featuring giant ants and people running though a revolving door to get away from them.
