I love war movie and have a good collection of war movies, many from WW II. Here is my list of my top 5 war movies of all time.

1. Band of Brothers--Get it on Blu it is just incredible. Best war movie I'ver every seen. Every episode is a masterpiece. Just love the series.
2. The Great Escape--Steve McQueen on a motorcycle you gotta love it.
3. Schindler's List--The only movie I can remember seeing in a theater where at the end it was totally silent and no one wanted to leave the theater.
4. Black Hawk Down--Perhaps the most intense fire fighting ever put to film.
5. Saving Private Ryan--Watching the first 20 minutes makes me so proud to be an American. Cannot imagine what it would be like storming the beaching of Normandy.

and I also would rate BRAVEHEART above the 5 picks I did at the beginning of this thread--

however when I think of war movies I think of WWI, WW2, VIET NAM, KOREAN WAR, etc and that's how I did my picks--

if I added all the other wars I could never pick just 5!!!!

4. Tae Guk Ki - More than Korean version of Saving Private Ryan

there r alot of great older movies and foreign movies but i think technology of movies today helped war movies
