Amazon no longer has the $31 copy of Ronin for release on Tuesday. This today:

Is it out??? Why not call best buy and ask, or better yet...ask your friend who pre-ordered it along with samurai 7s, that person sounds really cool!

Sounds like it's not out...but even if it is, who wants to waste $30 or more on an old MPEG2 transfer with already reviewed poor PQ.

It might have lossless, and it might be the only version we get for a while. And if that's the case, I'll just wait 2 months and get it for $15. I'll pay $5-$10 more for an upgrade in audio over the DVD, but not $20 more. I'm not a sucker.

DVD Empire.com has the back cover up for the US release now:

So it does release this Tuesday. Amazon is not the "be it all, end it all" source for Blu-ray Discs.

Axel Music also has the back cover for the Canadian release which is more nicer:

The US release is in stock and ready to ship from Axel Music but the Canadian release is not in stock yet.

Ronin is a confusing release - not listed on Best Buy's site and I do not see it available from Amazon, what am I missing? Wasn't it due out today?

I got it thru an amazon marketplace vendor this morning for under $25, including shipping, and it's actually Deepdiscount that's the vendor.

Today's Fry's Ad in the San Jose Mercury shows Ronin available.

I got my copy at a Target store... it was $25 bucks.

the PQ could have been better but its the best i've seen it... the AQ was pretty nice.

and yep its basically bare.. just a trailer if i recall.

I ordered mine at amazon (usa), it should be at my mail, I'm waiting to return home to see it. After reading this thread, I recheck amazon, and its no longer at stock. This is the first time I see something like this.

i got mine release day at frys, dont remember how much, great movie, pq better than dvd but nothing to brag about, sound avg
