Hey I got it! How about a remake of Gone With The Wind as a musical, with the cast of High School Musical?

So wait, which remake bit the dust?

I came in here expecting to see the Bonnie & Clyde remake got cancelled, and all I see are ideas for movies that shouldn't be remade.

Is there some confusion over what "bites the dust" means?

would love to see them remake

2001
blade runner

and any other long movie, cut them down to 45 minutes tops with lots of added action, over rated actors, boobage, fast paced camera shots, and no art of story telling! oh yah

eh, I would dislike a remake of one movie just as much as another. it doesn't destroy the original piece. if done well, it can be great, and if done poorly it can suck, just like any other movie.

It's not like we're missing out on loads of original ideas.

You have a good mind. If the actors were older I might agree.

That and I can't see GWTW as a musical. It's too long.

For the record, I agree with you that it's silly to get upset about remakes. If you don't want to see it, don't. Simple as that. And I try to judge each film on its own merits, not how it stacks up to previous versions. I do, however, find the current Hollywood trend of remaking everything a bit troubling. They're way overdoing it. What else is new in Hollywood, though?
I agree that the new Batman movies are neither a remake or a reboot. Nolan has taken the character in a completely different direction then the films that came out in the late 80's and 90's.

I totally agree. I never went to the theaters to see the first one with Steve Martin. My niece was visiting and she had it on DVD and wanted to watch it so I let her to keep her quite. I personally thought Steve Martin was just trying to play Peter Sellers playing Inspector Clouseau.

What is this crap to of running your childhood? Simple solution, if it looks good watch the film if not then don't.

No one seemed to complain when Christopher Nolan remade Batman...Technically he did...
Amen to that. Well said.

As of yesterday The Pink Panther 2 has made $43,731,766, and $30,000,000 of that is domestic.

So it's been out for 3 weeks and only made 30mil in the US? Not to good IMO. Maybe this will put an end to any plans for a 3rd one. Peter Sellers spirit should come back and put a curse on every one involved in these new films....LOL

This is interesting but isn't this already called pornos (depending on your definition of action)? Not that's there's anything wrong with that.
