Using the original spanish title is of course allowed/necessary (and if available in english, using the english title in paranthesis would be very helpful) and I agree that using spanish will sometimes probably be unavoidable and that's no problem. I just want people with little or no understanding of spanish, but who are interested in spanish movies and culture, to be able to follow the discussions
![]() We will also merge all spanish titles from different countries, into one forum/site section, this isn't really optimal of course, but I think it's the best solution, since spanish is so widely spread. Amazon seems to have come to the same conclusion, since they have chosen to integrate spanish titles into amazon.com instead of making separate spanish-speaking country sites, as they have done with amazon.fr, .de etc. |

My own experience with other international boards that have included a spanish section in order to post and share info in spanish is that whenever some non-spanish speaker ask a question in english, some bilingual spanish speaker gladly replies to them in english always.
IMO you shouldn't fear about allowing entire threads in spanish. Besides u could pick a bilingual moderator to watch the forum. I mean there are up to 500 millions out there who speaks spanish as their mother tongue and dozens of millions more are learning it as a second language. I know about several latin-american and spanish users who don't post in this site because they think their english is not good enough. Actually I have received PM's from some of them. Surely many more don't even sign-in, but if a spanish section were available they might do it. ¡Entonces que se abra una sección en español para hablar en la lengua de Cervantes y Cantinflas sobre películas, culebrones y Blu-rayos! ![]() |

Besides how many bilingual users would bother typing twice the same message, one in spanish and one in english? No offense but I don't think that's a practical solution. I don't think an online translator would be necessary neither. IMO the admin could pick a bilingual moderator, I am sure won't be any kind of problems. Many internet boards have spanish forums moderated by some user who can speak both languages and they works fine. Just my 2 centavos. |

frenchs and germans who are not fluent in english surely don't post. BTW I don't think you will have to create a board in every language. Perhaps just in the 2 or 3 languages with more native speakers, and that's all. I mean, I don't think there will be lots of slovaks or finnish asking for a forum in their language. ![]() |

Believe me there are More than 2 or 3 active members who speaks spanish, being conservative I'd say there are dozens of active members who speaks spanish. And most likely more will join. Anyway if the forum in spanish is a failure, it can always be closed. Again, I don't see any problem. |

Anyway answering your question, yeah any forum recquires a moderator to avoid possible conflicts. Probably one of the current moderators understand spanish, then you won't need to pick a new one. Ciao and good luck with the forum in english for spanish speakers. ![]() |
